ExperienceTeaching experience: I have tutored students for 5 years, in addition to being a teaching assistant in university courses at both RPI and CU-Boulder.
Awards/accomplishments: I have won several research awards, have multiple scientific publications in my field and have presented at multiple regional and national scientific conferences.
From hiring tutors in my own past I know that a helpful tutor is able to individualize a lesson-plan in addition to being insightful in the subject matter. Effective teachers don't simply explain/stand-and-deliver. They get involved in YOUR thought process, YOUR level of understanding and build from there. This is something I stride to provide for my students.
Public Speaking Experience:
In high school, I was on the Speech and Debate team, where I placed top 10 in Lincoln-Douglas debate in Colorado and was runner up (2nd place) to nationals in 2006. As a graduate student, I now give much more technical speeches, and have been even been awarded for my presentations. I say this because this experience has taught me how to present information to wide audiences, which tutoring can effectively be at times. Additionally, if you would like feedback on public speaking, this is my qualification.
More about me: I am fully engaged in bioengineering research at RPI :)
HobbiesMy hobbies: I enjoy myriad outdoor activities (jogging, biking, hiking, fishing, etc.), relaxing with friends, listening to (and attempting to play) music, cooking, listening to podcasts, brewing my own beer, and learning new things.
My personality: I am very friendly, polite and curious about everything and anything!

Greg provided wonderful support to our sophomore in both Trig and Chem. If there was a concept she was not clear on, she totally understood after getting support with Greg. Greg is flexible, friendly, and just an overall pleasant guy. Very bright young man....he knows his stuff. We will be using him again in the coming year where there is a math or science need.
Greg has been a great tutor for my son. My sons grades have gone from low 70s to 90+. I would highly recommend him for a Chemistry tutor. He is easy to contact by e-mail, and always responds back.
Greg is very friendly and insightful. He taught me a few tricks to solve problems faster and narrowed down some of my weaknesses to help me improve.
